Happy Dia De la Mujer! (Women's Day!)

Happy Friday my lovelies, but more importantly Happy International Women's day to all the   spectacular, multitasking, hardworking, patient, resilient, independent, overcoming women of this world! 

In Honor of this amazing day I put together two collages of two of the women I have always looked to , to get me through the toughest and happiest of days through their deep and emotion filled artwork.

Hola! It's been a while so I think Happy Holidays + Happy New year's are due! I have mos def neglected you...my readers + my blog :'(  "disculpame!"  but I would like to let you all know that it' been because I have been Busy... extremely busy but soon enough I will slowly and surely begin to fill in the gaps. 

let's get back + focus on this Blog post!

For those of you who have your own little toddlers, or are the proud adults around a little one you know this show as good as they know the lyrics and dance moves to every song on this fun , colorful and musical show! ( for those of you that don't know ....well, hope u enjoy the photos! hehe) 

On February 3rd, along side my partner in crime, Cecilia ( as always) we got to celebrate my God Daughters 2nd Birthday! and, as always after an all nighter, endless hot glue gun burns, cups of coffee and crafty scissor cutting we pulled it all together to decorate just to see the smile on our special Birthday Girl's face and our friends and family to enjoy yummy cupcakes from Jen @ Sweet Stuff Cakery, an amazingly detailed & delicious Birthday Cake by Rabia @ The Sweet Flour and marshmallow pops from yours truly!

Special thanks to My Comadre + G-baby for always including me in their theme parties and letting me create + decorate!

Showers + Baby Owls = waiting for a new Love.

 Yikes! ..... if this isn't abandonment of my few but very much loved readers, I don't know what is! Bad Blogger! * face-palm. 

Well, I'm back! So hope i haven't scared all of you away, just yet! .... So this is a Long...and when i say LONG, i mean.... 6 months overdue Post, but none the less one of my faves  so i guess i could say that i was saving the best for a rainy day? Above are some collages i put together of photos i have from decorating my cousins' baby shower back in April, while we were all anxiously and excitingly waiting for the birth of our beautiful and miracle baby Sofia!   

Our main theme started off as "Owls" but it really took a whole spring type life of its own, Lots of great D.i.Y we got to make ! and it really is one of the funnest projects I've gotten to share with my cousin Soraida in creating a beautiful and festive Baby Shower for Sharlene.  

Special thank you to our aunt for catering, Auntie Soraida for such great photos and decor ideas, and everyone else who came out and shared in this special occasion, and "lee bakes" for the great tasting cupcakes and cute owl cookies! 

Miss Sofia, is now 6months, healthy , happy and growing everyday and the youngest of all her siblings ! Special thanks to my amazing little Nephew Ivan for being in mommy's photo shoot and helping out with preparing for the baby shower!

Summer has come and gone a whole lot quicker then it actually lasted, here in Vancouver! but none the less super appreciative of the amazing sunshine and heat we had!  Well Today's post features my Zara Denim skirt which to be quite frank, I've had and maintained white, for yes..... 4 years. I stunned myself to be perfectly honest, that one: it fit , two: it was still white and three: well...i still love it as much as i did the day i bought it! but at last, it has been washed, folded and put away for next summer. My top I found while shopping in Santa Monica this past June... it was a little bit of a funny find, because  i had walked into a store first and saw it priced for $60 , and so i walked away sadly.... and then went into the next store only to find it for $20!! so , you know me ... I cant resist a good bargain, or find and it came home with me! I love this top... i have plenty of polka dots in my closet, but this one might be one of token pieces because its very wearable with so many thinks in my closet! and last but not least... my shoes, a great and cheap H&M find a couple summers ago, they've endured a whole lotta walking, and for that I thank them! lol.

Wow , I had not realized so much time had passed me by since my last post... but I have had a lot on my  plate and needed a hand full of personal days to catch up with friends, family and well most importantly myself!  So, while I've been gone i have been busy collecting material for new posts! 

So above are my cheap $10 toms' wannabe's...and while if i was 16 this would be shameful...at the awesome age of 26, not so much! I am actually quite proud of my awesome purchase . I have debated on getting myself a pair of toms well before they were even this HUGE Revolution of shoe ware they have become, but i always hesitate and resist, for the simple reason that I am a walker, and public transit commuter and i know they wont make it past a couple months of wear and well.... at the end of the day i don't really wanna worry about where i take my shoes and have stinky feet...i'm far too old for that, lol. 

So, when i came across these cheap floral knock off i couldn't resist! and since floral has slowly taken over my closet i figured why not!I've had them for a little over a month now and I have to say they have been quite durable, and smelly-feet-free! and they are not hard on my feet at all! yay for bargain finds! Also in my little collage is an amazing blush i got from a great friend from Brazil from a brand called o 'boticari 

Make B. Blush Baked Milan. Its been my summer Blush ! + I simply love the color, just enough of a shimmer to give off a sun-kissed cheek and enough pink to make me happy! :)

Live.Eat.Laugh.

Its Wednesday and usually my post would be a "JSP" or a "D.I.Y" one, but I was so busy all weekend with different events, that I thought I would share a little piece of what was up.

 On Saturday, I got to meet up with an amazing group of friends, share some delish-i-cious food at one of Vancouver's Fun Food Spots, after all, what's a Vancouverite's Bday Celebration  without some tasty food? 

 It was one of my #BFF's , Sylvia 's 26th Bday and she picked a great spot called Bao Bei Chinese Brasserie.  I gotta say, we are pretty big foodies in our group (but then again, what 

Vancouverite isn't, right?) and there's nothing better than having a good meal in great a atmosphere, and Bao Bei is just that, it's interior decor makes you feel like your at your artsy friends house, from its floral wallpaper, original antique photos of the owners family to an amazing art display over the kitchen window's wall, done by two of Bao Bei's Own staff members Ricky + Charles ( Charles who happened to be our waiter for the night and probably THE most social and fun interaction I've come across with a server in a while! + Ricky who is in the photo above.) it made for a really fun , diverse and yummy night. 

Sylvia has been my friend for well...more years then I have finger's to be honest and she is both one of my Favorite people + most loyal of friends, I was really excited to make it out to dinner and celebrate with her!  I am wishing her all the best on her big move to the Island + loads more of study time learning about her "fishies + trees + water." hehehe.

Sometimes we get caught up with work, bills, etc, but we have to remember to always make time for those who comfort our hearts, tickle our lamest of times, and always lend a ear to hear our melancholies.  After all it won't be in much due time, that late night dinners, and birthday celebrations will turn into wine'y Wednesday's after the kids go to sleep, and Sunday bbq's with the whole familia ! ( not that either past time is some thing to be scared of, hehe ) We all need to Live. Eat.Laugh  as much as we love.hope.and pray !

Rachel Zoe in Vancouver!

It's not everyday you get to meet someone as influential in the world of fashion as Rachel Zoe, and as a fashion student, and fashion follower i've flipped through dozens + dozens of magazine pages with the fashion works and stylings of Rachel Zoe, So when I decided to take the morning off today, to go to the Holt Renfrew's showing of Rachel's newest pre/fall 2012 collection I had no idea ...it would have concluded with a photo moment!  HOW amazing.... much like Felix , my heart is still a little stunned that I was able to sneek in a photo for my album of many adventures!
